Ruth McGowan's Brewpub
131 E. First St.
(707) 894-9610

Mary Ann and Mike wanted to craft the finest beer imaginable for their family of friends - which they do, right before your eyes, in gleaming copper tanks. (Aren't you glad you don't have to polish them?) And they wanted to create a friendly and family-oriented neighborhood pub where everyone, including you fabulous unescorted ladies, would feel at home. Framed photographs of old Cloverdale line the walls of Ruth McGowan's Brewpub, along with the original sign from the gone-but-not-forgotten Preston covered bridge, warning that there will be a $5 FINE FOR ANYONE GOING FASTER THAN A WALK ACROSS THIS BRIDGE! So, slow down! Enjoy one of the many delicious and delightfully affordable items on our menu, along with daily specials. And don't forget to try our crowd-pleasing, red-headed Cloverdale Ale. Incidentally, Ruth McGowan's beers are now being distributed at many fine dining establishments (restaurants in other words) throughout the area.

County of Sonoma

Asti Winery - Cellar No. 8
26150 Asti Road, Cloverdale

Our Gold Sponsor, and Venue and Wine Sponsor, is Asti Winery/Cellar No. 8. The modern history of the Asti Winery began in 1881. An Italian immigrant named Andrea Sbarboro founded it as a place to re-create life as it was in the old country. Anybody of Italian or Swiss descent was invited to join Sbarboro and work the land for a share of the profits - and of course, the wine. Within months, nearly a dozen families had joined him northern Sonoma County to form a 1,620-acre community. It also included cellars where Sbarboro aged his barrels of red wine. One of these was Cellar No. 8. Eventually the colony amassed a total of nearly 6,000 acres and changed ownership several times. Through the first half of the 20th century, the colony continued to grow, amassing a total of nearly 6,000 acres and beginning the first recorded tasting room in the state of California. Now the facility is back under the brand Cellar No. 8, a tribute to the cellar where it all began.
